Summary📌

The Effective Altruism Career Fellowship is a 5-week program consisting of weekly discussion/co-working sessions and a 1-on-1 with your facilitator. You should plan with roughly 5h of work every week. The Career Fellowship will take place online. This program will be offered in english and german. You can chose one of three tracks.

Goals towards a fulfilling, high-impactful career 🎯

At the end of

• track 1, each participant will have cause prioritization list, to get a sense of meaning or helping others, while having a high-impact with their career.
• track 2, each participant will have an ABZ career plan, consisting of longterm career paths.
• track 3, each participant will have made significant progress on their ABZ career plan.

Targeted audience🔎

We are looking for People, who

• Want to solve the world's most pressing problems.
• Are motivated to apply evidence and scientific reasoning on questions of altruism and on their career planning.
• Already have sufficient knowledge of Effective Altruism equivalent to what you learn at an Intro Fellowship.
• For tracks 2 (and 3), we require applicants to be sufficiently confident about their cause prioritization (and ABZ career plan).

In other words, do track 1 or 2 if you want to deepen your understanding of a cause that you haven’t considered so far or think outside the box of your predetermined career path. Remember that having an average impact on the most pressing problem is probably more impactful than having an outstanding impact on an average cause and that there are many more ways to contribute to any cause than you have thought.

Furthermore, we are committed to building a diverse cohort of Fellows. There is some evidence suggesting that underprivileged individuals tend to underestimate their abilities. We do not want the application process to dissuade potential candidates and we strongly encourage everone interested to apply regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, physical ability, etc.
